A hybride between colony and sovereign independent state

Until 1953 Greenland was a Danish colony. Both legaly and historically this is an inevitable fact. Aquut is the Greenlandic word for the steering wheel in a ship. Aquut thus is a symbol. Who governs Greenland? How is the relationship between Denmark and Greenland? While there is registered a great interest in Greenland according to melting of the ice cap and global warming, it seems now and then forgotten that there is a Greenlandic population of 56.000 inhabitants in Greenland. Beside of that, we estimate that there will be living about 20.000 Greenlanders outside Greenland. About the editor: I am Danish. The bias is European. The risc is that of always wanting to civilize instead of leaving space to Inuit to choose their own direction
